Recreational and Competitive Paintball

Paintball is a game enjoyed by hundreds of people year around. It is a billion dollar industry annually and the fastest growing extreme sport in the world. There are plenty of public arenas  around most areas and almost anyone can go and play. Being in a paintball match is not easy. It requires plenty of gear including a gun or marker, ammo, a hopper and CO2. All of these items that you need can be bought as one ultimate beginners starter kit. Keep in mind that this can be an expensive sport even when playing for only a day, but from experience it is one hundred percent worth the money. Not only can you play for a day but you can join teams that play in a range from low competition to the professional level. Obviously it requires some skill to play professionally but it's possible! In fact you can order a guide titled Paintball Heroes that will teach you how to be a master paintballer! I've never played on a team but I can only imagine how much of an adrenaline rush it gives you out there.

After getting used to the concept you can start to play different games like capture the flag, elimination, ammunition limits, defending or attacking a particular point or area, or capturing objects of interest hidden in the playing area. These games can last anywhere from a few hours to days depending on the league, game, and limits. Although there can be set rules they vary game to game. These rules are stated before the beginning of the match and should be followed throughout or you could be kicked out. If you aren't too fond of rules just play in the woods with your friends.

Just Try It Out
It doesn't matter who you are this is something I greatly encourage all of you to try. The adrenaline rush during a match is so incredible that it's seemingly addicting. I live it so much that I'm saving up for my own paintball gun so playing recreational matches will be far cheaper. I encourage all of you to do the same. Below is a quick video I found showing some paintball in action. Enjoy and thanks for reading!

Five Free PC Games to Play When You're Bored

Free online games can be just as fun to play as some paid games, it all depends on taste. In fact, a friend of mine gave up playing all of his paid PC games to take up the hundreds of free ones that he can download online. If you're the type who wants some cheap entertainment than check out some of these free games to play when you're bored. The descriptions are short but that's so you can see for yourself what the game is like!

1. Super Mario Bros. Crossover
In this game you can choose between six characters from other classic NES games to play on the format of Super Mario Bros. Each of these characters can use their own powers from their original games to help them jump, fight, and throw their way to victory.

2. Realm of the Mad God
This mmorpg is one of the most popular games I know. Or at least that's what I've heard. No one I know seems to know about it but when I made an account there were millions of players online. Basically all you do is wander around the world and use the weapons and armor that you find to defeat the endless waves of enemies with your fellow gamers. It's a pretty fun game and it's easy to get lost in, that is, until you die and then you don't want to play for a while.
Realm of the Mad God

3. Spelunky
Spelunky is an open source Indiana Jones style game in which you control a spelunker who dives into caves to find treasure, save damsels, and dodge traps. There are two things I absolutely love about this game. One is that the levels are randomly generated so you will never undergo the same challenge again. The second reason is that there are many mods or modified versions of the game which are available mostly on the forums. While playing this you will die a lot and it'll be frustrating but you'll learn eventually!

4. Hobo Wars
Hobo Wars is a role playing game in which you join gangs, train, ride shopping carts, go on adventures, breed rats, and fight thousands of other players around the world. Not only is it creative but it really is as good as it sounds.
5. Mari0
This game is a genius mix of Super Mario Bros. and Portal! Of all of these games this is the best I have played for free, ever. It's almost indescribable because it just is what it sounds like. Mario holding a portal gun, who would have thought? I won't describe it too much so you can hurry up and download it!

Well there they are, some of my favorite free PC games. I'll eventually get around to posting another article with more games so if you have any ideas please leave them in the comments below and I'll check them out for sure. Happy gaming and thanks for reading!

Mountain Bike Through Neighborhoods, Mountains, and Whatever is in Your Way

Biking is one of the most used forms of exercise. Biking does not require hard work but it can use as much as you put in. This is a great thing to do when you're bored because it takes up plenty of time and always stays interesting. To ensure a great experience choose a good place to ride. There should always be a place to ride so here are some ideas. In order to ride at these locations it would be best to have a mountain bike.

Neighborhoods, Golf Course
Some neighborhoods have great paths and some have no paths. It all depends on where you live. My neighborhood has some great paths. In fact my house is right on a golf course. This gives me an easily accessible option. There are plenty of hills and banked turns which make for an exhilarating ride. Not only are there golf paths but there is also an abandoned 9 holes that are covered with overgrown plants and trees. Riding through there is a dream, of course, only if you have a mountain bike.

Mountain Trails
Given that most people don't live near mountains this may only be an option for vacations and camping trips. If you ever get the chance please ride the hills. Riding through mountain trails is challenging, it gets your adrenaline pumping, and has great scenery. I'd live out there if I could. I'd ride through streams, over fallen down trees, and under caves. I beg you to try it out, it will be something you never forget.

Construction Sites
This option is the riskiest by far but also one of the most intense so don't forget your helmet. Just imagine, a giant heap of dirt, and then a few more, and a bike. Riding over these hills and flinging up dirt behind you can be quite the sight. Not only will you be going at high speeds but you will also have the excitement of sliding and drifting over loose rocks and pebbles. Throw a couple of smaller dirt mounds in and you've got yourself a small ramp. Let your imagination fly with this.

Well there are a few places to ride. If you know of any others please by all means tell me what I've missed in the comments below! Thanks for reading!

Make Handheld Fireballs

First of all, making handheld fireballs can be dangerous if you do not follow the instructions very carefully! For me this experiment ranks at #1 for many reasons, but mostly because it's so unique. Below will be some instructions on how to make these little wonders but in order to do this you must acquire a few items. You'll need a 2x3 piece of 100% cotton fabric, a generous amount of 100% cotton thread, either Zippo or Ronsonol lighter fluid, and a match or lighter. Enjoy and try not to burn down the house!

fireball first attempt
  1. Roll the cotton strip into a tight ball and wrap the thread around it to almost cover up the entire ball. For the most part all the thread does is keep the ball in shape.
  2. Either tie the thread around the ball or use a needle to pierce the ball and cut the access thread off.
  3. Lay the ball on the frying pan and saturate the ball with the lighter fluid. Clean up any extra fluid on the pan and make sure your hands are clean as well.
  4. Light the ball with a lighter or match while it's on the pan. Do not light the ball while you are holding it.
  5. Quickly pick up the ball and roll it around in your hand. You can hold it still but it could get a bit hot so my advice is to keep it moving.
  6. As the lighter fluid runs out the ball starts burning and smoking so quickly cup the ball with your hands and muffle the flame. If this is done soon enough you can reuse the same ball, just dip it in the lighter fluid and repeat. Or if you're a beginner and want to be careful just throw it into a bucket of water.
Well there you have it! Have fun with this but be safe as well. For those of you who are visual learners here is a video explaining this tricky experiment. If you like playing with fire stay tuned for a lesson on making a fire ball canon, which also is dangerous but pretty awesome if I do say so myself. Thanks for reading and if you have any questions please ask!
